Do I need a tune for "boost tee" ?

Hi guys so yesterday I bought an evo 9 Gsr and it's got a turbosmart boost tee from last last owner, the last owner do t know much about the car and he said it's running stock ecu, I'm just wondering do I need a tune if I'm using the boost tee? Is it dangerous? I'm going to get EVC soon In the mean time, I just tune it all the way to clockwise because I do t want to overboost.
also what is apexi super air flow converter for? Can anyone send me the instuction for set up please?

If it's really on the stock ECU with an aftermarket boost controller you should get it tuned. The A'pexi SAFC is a piggy back ECU. I'd just remove it and get a proper ECU tune.

Its not a electronic boost controller it's a manual one, can I just turn it all the way off without removing it?
Do I need to a tune with the SAFC as well? Is it dangerous to drive the car without a proper tune?

its always safer if your unsure to get it tuned. If you turn it all the way down it will just run on spring pressure. 12psi if I'm not mistaken. The car will run rich but safer than running to much boost causing it to Lean.

I've had good experience with AEM Truboost (what I'm using at the moment), Greddy Profec, and the GFB EBC. They all operate a little differently, I personally like the look of the AEM Truboost and after I got used to its odd menu navigation I really like it over all.

I perfer just MBC. I've had terrible luck with EBC. So after my greddy profec acted up on my old Evo, I threw it away an used hallman MBC. I just plumb it inside the glove box.
