Mishimoto radiator and fan shroud

Installing a mishimoto radiator and mishimoto fan with shroud. I have an evo 8 with a 9 turbo. The fan with shroud does not fit. I had to buy some steel and make some brackets. Tomorrow I will install it like this to see what happens. Also, the top a/c line rubs on the mishimoto radiator. I bent it back a bit and it fits but a little poo came out during this process. This **** was scary. I can't use the stock fan because I have a 4" intake. Also, the previous owner put an Xspower intercooler on here and the figment is ****. It pushes the condenser into the engine bay a bit and the radiator is sort of crooked. I'm a bit OCD so this will make me go crazy. I made this thread to rant a bit because I'm so pissed and so dissapointed. I feel like I wasted money on this damn fan and shroud. Since I couldn't find any info on whether it fit or not i figured this thread will benefit some of you guys in the future should you ever decide to get this radiator. I will update this thread with pics tomorrow when input everything together.

Which version radiator did you get? I'm running the Evo 6 mishimoto one in my evo 9, fitment was tight but works. The slim fan and shroud I have actually has the corner cut out for better fitment.. if you would've went with koyo their core is actually thicker.

I have the oem replacement radiator...the fan with shroud just won't fit...the fan hits the turbo and wastegate...needs to move towards passenger side about an inch more...I looked at the dimensions and koyo seems to be thinner...

You're going to have to ditch the shroud and use those fan ties. The fan will rest directly on the radiator, should give you almost half an inch of clearance.

It fit like this but still real close to wastegate. I actually like having a shroud and it looked really clean with it. It feels like I wasted money. I could have just bought a slim fan. I hope this mishimoto fan cools well enough in the summer. But oh well, I'm going to test it here in a bit. I'll report here with the results.

Probably the same fan. I didnt use the factory placement for the fan because it wouldnt fit with my 4" intake. I made some brackets for it so i could center it on the radiator. I have a mishimoto 8/9 radiator but the 4/5/6 is probably the same just with different hose location. Im selling my mishimoto fan and shroud and i can throw in the brackets i made if you want to buy it.
