Hello guys,

I am a new member coming from Club3g and I just had a question because they werent help me on c3g.

Currently, I own a 2002 Eclipse GS, my goal is to swap a 4g63t from an evolution 4 into it soon. If I researched correctly, the only problem I should encounter is not being able to clear the starter, which shouldn't be a big deal because my dad is a professional mechanic and he deals with fabrication all the time. I just wanted to pick some of your guys' knowledge on the subject because I want to know if there are other problems I would run into. The engine I am looking to buy comes with the engine itself (45k) and the transmission, ecu and wiring harness. Lastly, I am aware that I can do a headswap but i'd rather just swap the whole thing to have a unique car and a fun project. Please don't hate if I used incorrect terms, I am still learning about cars and such and just want some help.

Thank you, this does help but this guy is focusing more on a headswap. I am looking to swap the entire engine.

Thats a full swap with the AWD drive train as well. You will probably find more help on that forum then here as well since this forum is more Lancer oriented.
