Hey guys performed a BLT the other day and I was getting pressure into my fuel system!!!! My FPR was reading close to 70 pounds how is it possible that pressure can be getting there any thoughts?

Hey I'm curious too. My last test the upper injector seal at #3 was hissing like crazy and it would stop when I wiggled the injector a bit.

I don't even understand, what the hell? Air goes through an injector backwards? Or some vacuum line gets air into the rail, like maybe FPR solenoid or something?

Pressurising the vent line to the fuel tank.

What line is that? It must be connected to the intake in order for it to get pressure

You shouldn't test with more pressure than you are actually going run or risk buying an intercooler. The more pressure you put into the intake manifold the more pressure on the diaphragm in the fuel pressure regulator and the higher the fuel pressure - but only if the fuel pump is running. Weird. So, anyway I take it that you have a fuel pressure gauge on the car - correct?

The injector seals are a common leak spot so nothing unusual there.

I don't think there is 70 psi going to the fuel tank. The tank isn't a pressure vessel and will become round.

i agree I only put 15 psi into the system and when I saw that happen I let of... the only gauge that I have is on the FPR
