Mitsubishi Lancer 2006 se having trouble with rough idle and engine surging when stopped or coasting. So far I've replaced spark plugs and wires and the oil pressure switch which helped a little with the rough idle but the power surges are still there and they get worse the longer my car runs or hotter the engine gets. I'm not very good with cars so just looking for a bit of direction. Any help is appreciated.

 

Perhaps try cleaning out the throttle body. I experienced this when I had my Evo X and I cleaned the TB and it worked.

 

I had a P0300 code rough idle and ordered new coil boots and will replace this week. I'll try and update the thread to see if my issue is resolved.
