Fuel pump possibly failing ?

Hey everyone I'm new here and I recently purchased my 1st Evo a couple months ago my other car is a bmw 135i. So the basic mods on the evo are a built 2.0, atp stealth gt3582r turbo kit, 1650cc injectors and a grams 320 fuel pump. I had recently got the car retuned on a duel map 91/e85 tune making around 470 whp on a mustang dyno. After having the car for about a week and a half i got a SES light and hooked up my obd2 and got the code P0181 which was for the fuel temperature sensor so i contacted the tuner right a way and he said that it shouldnt be an issue and that the car should be fine to drive so after i couple of days i noticed that when the car hit boost it would start to sputter and backfire, struggle to start unless i revved the car otherwise it would die and also have to rev it high to get in gear. I had ordered the part to replace the sensor and stopped driving the car until i installed the new sensor and the car still runs the same. i also forgot to mention you cant hear the fuel pump prime at all. I've researched symptoms of a failing fuel pump and seems to be similar but ive done my research and i cant seem to find the best fuel pump to go with if the pump has failed. any help is appreciated

I dont think it would cause and issue unless it was used to tune as a iat mat sensor.

Who tuned it btw?

My buddy has a evo 9 on a maf with same code. No driveablility issues.

Yea i know om in socal also.

As far as i know. A faulty fuel temp sensor wont have driveability issues.

Is it on speed density? Have you contacted him?

Just confirming you have to crank to prime the fuel pump.

Are you on speed density? Check if you have a faulty map sensor. Do you have a tactrix cable where you can log?

No unfortunately i dont and I'm not sure, I'm going to contact my tuner and see. This is my first evo and coming from bmw things are a lot simpler to diagnose and log since everything is on my phone but if you can reccommend me anything to read up on or buy let me know please im still tryin to learn things about the car.

You can pop the hood and tell if you're on SD or not. Look at your intake. If it doesn't have a giant black MAF sensor between the filter and intake pipe then you're running SD. You can also look at your MAP sensor to see if it's aftermarket or not. You also might have an IAT sensor in your UICP.
