Boost limited at 0.5
Boost limited at 0.5
Hello,
I have owned my EVO ix Nearly 3 years and had some minor problems, but this week, Normally the car boost is running around 1.2 to 1.5 boost, depending on the switchable map, the last time i drove the car was in a very heavy storm with huge floods, an unfortunate situation believe but one well suited to the car :-)
I noticed today when i drove it that the boost would not get past 0.5 now this normally happens when the engine is cold and the ECU restricts it i believe, so i let the car warn for a while and tried again, in both high and low maps, but no difference, it won't get past 0.5 it seems fairly stable at the 0.5 too which seems odd to me, i can confirm that the maps are still working as the car pops, and bang when in hight boost so this seems good...
I have not done a boost leak test yet but was wondering if anybody else has ever had this problem, the reason i have not done a boost leak yet is i would have expected the car to show signs along the way, but i will do one for goo measure...
Any help would be good,
I recently cut some of the cable in the connector block in the passenger foot wheel due to the corrosion in the plug, as documented in this forum, but i only cut those that looked bad as i had a problem with my fuel pump not running, This fixed the problem for the record.... is there any wires in the passenger footwell that could be retailed to the boost ?? just a thought
any help would be great...
