so I have deleted the egr and the evap..
and everytime after driving, i notice there is a very strong smell of gas coming from the engine bay,

where the evap cannister is to be exact, behind the battery.
any ideas what to do, coz i read somewhere that one hose on the evap has to vent to atmosphere which it is.

is this something i should be worried about?
ive been driving for around 6 months like this.

 

Have you checked the fuel injector seals?

 

Uhm the charcoal canister is in the rear driver side fender well in usdm evo 8. Idk if yours is different.
Could be injector o ring. Fuel feed or return line leak. Or fuel pressure regulator. All under hood.
