Oil smells like gas?

I brought my Evo to get an oil change at the dealer I bought my 08 STI since there isn't really a mitsu dealer in the area and their service is generally quick.

Anyway the tech said he could smell a lot of gas in the oil, meaning it's running very rich.

I know the preflash evos ran really rich but I've had the evo reflashed (factory).

Thoughts on this?

My 04 had this problem and my 08 has this problem. I'm not very concerned. While it may not be normal, you do have a warranty. I'm sure one of the obsessive - compulsive owners will chime in with opposite views. To me, this is not a problem. A problem is the tranny.
