so I have read that this might be normal. However most of what I've read is from 5-6 years ago. So I have an Evo X MR which was tuned by AMS with only an AMS intake. Since then I have added a tomei to cat back exhaust and AMS upper intercooler pipe. Recently my car started smelling a bit like fuel but it went away, then I smelled something like rubber burning but only when I do hard pulls. My 3k oil hangs is coming up so I checked the oil and it smells like gas. Should I be concerned? I don't see any noticeable leaks, car idled fine, runs fine, AP will occasionally show 1-2 knock sum.

Turbo cars tend to get fuel in the oil. Since the car was tuned before the cat back, I would take it in to have the tune touched up for the cat back. You could also send the oil to Blackstone for analysis. A little bit of fuel goes a long way to make the oil smell like fuel, but isn't necessarily causing harm.
