Reliability would be based on the tune, and for that power past 500 you would want to have a twin disc clutch like an exedy, it will be more reliable and take care of your transmission.

there is no way its making 500hp on the stock 2003 turbo. You should look into that claim. You should also have a pre-purchase inspection performed by a knowledgeable and trusted 3rd party before pulling the trigger. There are tons of places in Cali you could request this be done at before you potentially waste time coming down here for nothing, or worse, purchase a money pit.
