Depends on your daily driving. If your satop and go all the time its a workout. However open roads are fun.Not best on gas mileage stop and go either...

I've been DD'ing my Evo ever since I bought it brand new in February 2007. Luckily I have a relatively short commute under ten miles each way, so to date I only have 111k miles.

My car has always been bone stock, so that helps. Because my commute has never been far, I'm not putting on a lot of miles in general, plus I'm not that worried about it impacting value, since the car holds its value pretty well regardless, especially with mine being stock. So I might as well just drive it. No sense in paying all that money to let it sit and hopefully be worth a little more. Plus if something were to happen to it, whether it's getting stolen or totaled somehow, I'd rather have enjoyed it. I like driving it on a regular basis, even if I'm not pushing it to its limits.

I've thought about getting another DD several times over the past decade but decided against it every time. I just don't need it, and it seems like an unnecessary expenditure, since I have a perfectly fine car that doesn't have any problems. Yeah, it's an older car and is a couple generations behind current cars, but I still enjoy it a lot and don't care much for a lot of the features that are pretty much standard on modern cars.

You said it perfectly. That's pretty much what I tell people when they ask why I like my 27 year old DSMs so much.

I used to DD my evo, but now my commute is about a half mile instead of 25 Im looking for a winter beater to give the evo a break and get it workin right

EDIT: I just walk now, its useless to drive the car that short of distance. I used to drive about 40 miles a day for commute, mostly small state roads, very fun. Didnt realize it sounded like i drove the car a whole half mile lol

I daily my F150. It's just too nice not too. And it has plenty of power for any necessary passing shenanigans.
