Inside the actuator is a tiny electric motor. The motor has a worm drive which rotates a 90 degree quadrant, another plastic gear. On the quadrant are contacts used to indicate to etacs locked or unlocked. If your car has seen 100 K miles or more my guess would be the actuator.

I tried another actuator from one of my buddies and symptoms is the same way. Hos actuator is working in his car when I pulled it out. I tried the external power source while the actuator is out and it scared the heck out of me. I also pulled the plastic covering the actuator to see if there’s any gunk. Mine was clean. It seems to me that the acuruator is not getting any power. It’s not making any kind of noise when locking/unlocking.

Can you confirm that by putting a meter into the pins of the connector for the actuator and then hitting the lock unlock button and observe what the voltage does?

Once apart, few of these actuators ever work properly again.

UPDATE! Problem still occurs

I haven’t really gotten around to work on the problem due to busy work schedules. The crazy locks still there, and I noticed since it’s getting warmer here it’s getting worse now.
So now the car would locks by itself while I’m driving, esp. when it’s hot outside >90’F. And when I unlock the car manually on the drivers door, one turn for drivers door and two turns to unlock all doors, I have to hurry to open the door before it locks itself like the usual, it’s a race between me and the power locks lol I always feel like a dummy when it locks before I get to open it.
Next one, get this, I was adjusting my power mirror and once I released the button KAZAAM! That’s right, the darn door LOCKED itself as well. I was like “how the...?!”
Oh also forgot to mention the passengers side door power lock button would act like the driver side as well, locks locks die, and all power window buttons from any doors would lock the door once pressing on it and triggered the locking upon releasing the button.

Pressing then releasing certain buttons seems to trigger the issue. All of the things that has “POWER” in front of the word inside the car seems to “POWER” lock all the doors lol
