A/C work on max -- A/C button not responding

My Evo hasn't had A/C for years, but I just reinstalled it and charged it. Everything is fine when I put the dial on MAX, but otherwise it won't turn on. Pushing the A/C or recirc buttons does nothing. Anyone have any suggestions for troubleshooting?

Thanks!

I have to hit the A/C button on my car repeatedly to get the light and A/C to come on. This after spilling a sticky drink on it. The button is well positioned for accidents like this to happen.

Have noticed the same issue w/my EvO. Ran my car to the track this weekend just to spectate but on the way home, I ran the AC just to keep things happy w/the AC system

But yes, seems like the button is sensitive. Seems like a long press of the button works Wonder if a shot of compressed air is needed?

I loosened the screws under the dials, realigned the buttons to the cutouts in the trim panel and retightened. Works fine now. Glad it was an easy fix.
