A/C is popping the 10A fuse - Help?

Looking for anyone who has run into anything similar, or anyone with a wiring schematic that can tell me where this 10A fuse leads so I know whether this issue is electrical (wiring) or mechanical (a part drawing too much current)

As soon as I turn on my A/C, it pops this 10A fuse under the hood. Replaced the fuse this morning, all was ok, then turned on the A/C and for the first 1/2 second I heard it bog down the engine as if it had turned on the compressor, but then fuse blew and no A/C.

P.S. Bought the car 5-6 months ago from a member on here who was the single owner, and the car has always had a/c. Compressor was replaced at 100k (car now has 125k).
Anyone have any advice ?

Disconnect the plug at the compressor and turn the a/c on. If the fuse dose not pop it's a faulty compressor. If it does pop you will need to trace it back to where it's shorting out. Either a cut wire or bad hvac switch exc.

That fuse is for the compressor, and the compressor was "recently" replaced. So either there is an issue with the install or the replacement compressor unit is faulty. It might be worth it to try and get in touch with the shop that did the work and see if they have any kind of warranty.
