high iat temps solution

Hey guys, so ive been having an issue with lean tip - in while car is in closed loop taking off from a stop or low rpms. After testing i realized that its very dependent on iat temps. When iat temp is around 100 it gets worse. I was wondering if there is some type of table where i can tell the car to ignore iat over a certain temp at a certain rpm or some way to trick ecu into thinking the iat temps are lower than what they are at low rpm. Do you guys know anything about this? If it really is iat temp dependent what do you guys think i can do to remedy this? Im on 9417 speed density using tephra maps.

What are you using to measure IAT on your SD setup and where is it mounted?
Temperature measurement is key for SD because it is one of the inputs the ECU uses to calculate air density, and therefore how much fuel to add. For best results you should mount a low thermal mass sensor (e.g. GM IAT) in the charge pipe immediately after the intercooler, and wire it directly to the fuel temp input pin on the ECU. Also check to make sure you have selected the right temperature input setting in your ROM.

I have a gm iat sensor about 6" - 8" from the tb. I have read of people putting it down low by the ic but i was under the impression the correct position would be as close to tb as possible. It is wired to the maf plug.

You could switch to Fuel temp and bypass the AIT.

I thought about it but after reading threads they say fuel temp could read 50 degrees over actual temp

Gottcha, FWIW, I haven't driven a car with AIT SD(soon, converting to AIT) but my current tune is setup with fuel temp SD it drives great at low rpm and doesn't lean out or sputter.

Is it in closed loop? Idk I must be missing something. I’ll figure it out...
