The Sparco SPX special edition is a very light, reclining, leather and suede seat that looks great (IMO). It's expensive as hell, but looks to be a great replacement for the factory IX SE seats. It also has a very cool carbon fiber back side. Anybody have experience with these and do they bolt up fine ? I'd imagine that getting them to sit as low as the stock seats would be a nightmare, but if they do sit lower i'm going to start saving.
I don't understand why they don't list the weight. They say they are the lightest reclining CF seats on the market, but no concrete weight provided? If I am forking $3,200/seat, I'd like to know more information.... Weight is extremely important.
They're cool thats for sure but $$$ and really not that light. I will admit for a DD evo theyre pretty sweet and the red stitching would match the SE's very well.
Not much useful info here other than looks like they are bottom mount so assuming the dimensions any bottom mount aftermarket evo specific seat bracket and sliders(assuming you want that too) would be required to bolt them up.

Having been on their site way too many times looking for seat weights I can tell you that it is listed on the sizing chart. Im seeing the SPX Carbon listed as 28#. And keep in mind that does not include brackets or sliders. Stock evo recaros are around 38# with everything (some variance between styles) but even still I dont see these being much lighter if any than the factory seats.
I know these seats are significantly lighter than other seats. A YouTuber by the name of TJ Hunt bought a pair and has a little video where he shows them. As far as mounting goes I can only imagine they will be the same as other seats.
The authentic Bride carbon fiber reclining seats are around 26lbs, so the Sparcos definitely aren't the lightest on the market. For that price, I would expect a lot more from the Sparcos.

I agree with you in regards to how they should mount. However the other comment I beg to differ and your justification that a Youtuber said so is silly. The weights are posted on their site and I also posted some weight figures above. Look at this chart they weight 28# and that doesnt include brackets and sliders. Sure that's kinda light but as far as saying significantly lighter than others, well, that isnt exactly true. Are they light for a reclinable seat sure. To each their own, I just couldnt see spending that kind of coin on them personally.
Here is a screanshot of the sparco seat weights. Couldnt get it on one page but I highlighted the seat weight in discussion here.
Wonder how comfy they are for longer trips better than oem non ssl?
Good question. The bolsters are a bit more aggressive on this seat than the oem Recaros. Unless the back is wider, it will make for a slightly tighter feeling seat. I wouldn't mind driving long distance in them though
