Evo 8 need help

Evo 8 need help

Fuse blow everytime i put it in first gear when i change it and put it in second gear no problem. .Anyone know what might be the problem?

wow... never hear of that one.

i dont know of any sensors that would short out when you put it in 1st gear.

what fuse is blowing?

i would guess that the linkage in the console or the linkage out in the engine bay is pushing two wires together, and they are shorting.

Yeah, we will need a bit more info. Take a pic of the fuse & its location (post it up)

Maybe it's blowing when the clutch switch is activate...This is a weird but interesting issue. Like Minus said, post up some pics.

Maybe shifter arm is hitting wiring and has chewed into it.

What Fuse keep blowing #8 or 15? and do you have COP (Coil-On-Pug) ignition system??

I had something similar happen to me and it started to blew fuse so often I had to have some spare fuse with me. I bump up the fuse rating by 5 more amp and it never blew after that. I did a search on the forum and that is the advise I got.

on my I think it was an 15amp that kept blowing so I put 20 amp and it solve my issue. But i just went higher with one that kept blowing out. Not both
