Ralliart carbon side mirrors

Does anyone have any experience with the small ralliart carbon side mirrors as used on the Mitsubishi Evolution VIII FQ400. I would imagine the magnification would be reversed compared to US left hand drive cars.

Thank You, Don

Hey, I have a pair. They are both equal magnification, L&R side glass.

They're fine, I actually had 2 sets up until recently, a white pair (the only ones I've ever seen) and a carbon (effect) pair which I've refurbed and had hydro-dipped in a more realistic carbon pattern than the oem one as they were delaminating and needed a refurb anyway. The white set were mint and sold for 790usd.

Alot of people complain about visibility but they're fine, my race car had mirrors half the size again of these ralliart ones so to me they're bigger than I need.

The mirror angles are jacked on LHD cars IIRC. Better off finding reps that look the same but for a LHD car.

I love how you don't know that Ralliart never made a real carbon fibre set of mirrors.

They're all plastic and either hydro-dipped carbon, black or white.

The only carbon ones are non-ralliart.

I have Ralliart replicas in carbon fiber. Both the wife and I love them and my Evo is our only DD besides my scooters Lol. She doesn't have issues with visibility and loves it (coming from a woman). The only issue I have with mine is that I have to manually adjust them. Lol

Yea thats fine but not what im talking about. i was just poking fun at the fact that hydro dipped fake carbon looks nicer than real genuine carbon these days.

It is indeed getting pretty good! With the right lacquer and pattern it looks as good as real carbon.

Thank You for the input. I have acquired a set and am trying to decide if I want to paint them to match my factory paint color which is Apex Silver.

I have carbon ones that are made for RHD. They are electric and I did wire them up to work but just won't work with LHD obviously. I love them though and bought one of those Broadway "convex" rearview mirrors to help with my blind-spots.

Thank You for your response. Why will they not work on a LHD? What changes did you make to the wiring?

Hey Don,
They can't move far enough for a good view since they are made for RHD.
If I want to see out of the driver's side I have to lean forward to look or else im just staring back at the door handle and myself haha. Not a bad gig if you like to see how much fun you're having by yourself lol
For the Passenger side it almost has a blind spot field of view, I usually just have to lean to the right of the car in order to see if i'm close to anything(only when I back in to parkin spots).
That's why I highly recommend going with the Broadway Convex mirror, I bought mine from Ebay and it came in that nice "blue-ish" tint which goes with my mirrors as well so it worked out.
I will get back to you with how I wired it up when I get home, I'm currently at work. Have a great Sunday!

James.

Don,
Just responding to your question as far as the wiring goes...
So I really hope the wiring of your mirrors has the same colors as mine lol.

For the Passenger side: Blue wire mates with White/White wire mates with Yellow/Yellow wire mates with Green.

For Driver's side: White wire mates with White/Green wire mates with Green/Blue wire mates with Yellow.

Those are the notes I took in my phone as I was doing it, sorry its not more clear about which wire is from the mirror but I hope this helps! We just used a crimping tool as neatly as possible and verified the mirrors would adjust on power. Good luck!

James.
