Bom's Evo,

Sorry about the length of the post, thought you guys might find it interesting.
Bad deal I got 18K for my RSX Type S with 20K in January. You should get 17.5K for your car. Remember the higher trade in the less tax you will pay.

Talking Got mine 2 weeks ago ...

I picked up a white one two weeks ago in Normal, IL ... paid MSRP for it, which is better than any of the dealers I've seen in Chicago...

NEwayz ... if you get to test drive another Evo, I suggest you take it out on a few not-so-good roads that you can do 55+ on. IMHO the Evo is really worst at that type of speed on certain types of pavement, so that should give you an idea of whether you like the ride or not. Personally I don't mind the harsh ride at all, afterall the Evo is really as close to a no-compromise sports car as you can get in its price range. so far I can't get enough of it

DaveDave,
Any regrets on your trade from RSX to EVO? Anything about the EVO that you don't like since coming from the RSX? My main concern about getting an EVO is the crappy dealer network and drop in build quality from Acura to Mitsubishi (don't hate, guy's!)
Anyway, I am looking at my 2nd EVO today, black/roof/spoiler. I will let you know how it goes...hopefully no bulls**t from this dealer.

Nice mifesto! Well the Cherry Hill Mitsu dealer wouldn't budge on price, but they had none in stock. The black one I was to look at was sold last night. They were going to order one for me, silver, no roof or wing (my preference), and wanted $28,800. They offered me $14,500 for my RSX (yeah, right!). I told them my #'s, $27,500 for the EVO, $16,500 for my car, and they didn't even bother haggling, just said no, have a nice day.
Anyway, they were much more professional then Metro Mitsu, no B.S., no taking my keys, etc. I was only there an hour, and we parted ways on good terms. The salesman Josh was excellent, knew about the car, no pressure, I recommend him if you are willing to pay.
One more dealer to go, Doylestown Mitsu, supposedly have 4 EVO's on the lot.

You can get 17K for your RSX Type S.

I don't miss my RSX one bit. The car was fun but had no torque. I put $1200 into my EVO and gained 50WHP. You can't do that in RSX.

Good luck with your trade in. I would be firm on 17K for a trade in. I got 18K for my RSX type S four monthes ago.

Try Prestige

Got this email from Prestige Mitsu 11 days ago:

******************************
We Only Have Two Lancer Evolutions Left And We Are Selling Both Of Them For Under Invoice!

Please Contact Me Rob Underwood For Details!

Prestige Mitsubishi

Turnersville, NJ

856-629-9200

Underwood@users.ccleads.com

********************************

I do not know if Prestige has any left but, it's worth a call. I had been looking for an EVO about 6 months ago and had put through some internet inquiries to local dealers. I got onto Prestige's mailing list. I ended up picking an EVO up a 1,700 mi used one for $25K.

Good Luck!

Well I got one! Silver, wing, no roof. I was treated extremely well by Fred Bean's Mitshu in Doylestown. Bryan was my salesman, 21 years old but very knowledgeable and great to deal with (even though he drives a WRX-he really wants an EVO). They basically gave me what I was asking for, $16,500 for trade in, $27,800 for the EVO. I probably could have gotten them down another $500, but they were so easy to deal with, and considering the BS I have dealt with at 2 other dealers this week, I didn't push for any more off.
Anyway, I am psyched! Now, I need to sell some RSX stuff that I took off the car. Anyone here interested in a set of OZ Superleggera wheels with brand new Yokohama tires? How about a CAI?
Thanks to everyone who read and replied to my posts.
