Evo Oils Manual
Evo Oils Manual
Hello Evo mates
I have unsuccessfully searched all over the web to find the owner's manual for Evo IX MR in order to find the answer to some vital questions. For example, as far as I know, the engine oil needs to be changed every 10.000 km but because some times the car is abused I change the oil and the oil filter every 5.000 km. Also, as far as I know sometimes the odometer is irrelevant when the years come first. What do I mean by that? i.e. the timing belt needs to be changed every 100.000 km but because it's quality is affected through the lapse of time and let's say the car has covered only 30.000 km in nearly 5 years, the timing belt needs to be changed even though the car didn't reach 100.000 km. I think something similar applies to the tensioner, and for the oils (gearbox, transferbox, rear diff, brake). Hope that someone knows something and can bring some light.
Thanks in advance.

I feel your struggle in finding the Evo IX MR owner's manual. Regarding oil changes, your cautious approach every 5,000 km makes sense, especially with aggressive driving. You're spot on about time affecting components like the timing belt and tensioner, not just mileage. Regular maintenance is key for longevity.
