Help Valuing a car

I met an older gentleman (late 50's) locally who expressed interest getting rid of a 2005 evo mr with 72k miles - all stock. It seems well maintained but I haven't really dug into it yet. I usually used kelly blue book to figure out values of cars, but that wasn't the case when I bought my e46 m3 ($7,5k but market prices around $15k). Seems like the kbb won't reflect market value for the evo either.

What would be a good offer for this car without me jumping and overpaying $25k for a car that I can get for $13k. What would you guys on here offer? Need help as I don't have a feel for evo value's just yet.

Well, i just washed my EvO through KBB. 06 EVO RS / 60K miles. KBB came up w/$23K to $26K (seems right to me!)

That 05 MR if truly all stock & clean is worth every penny of what my RS was valued at. I say, go for it! Its a rare one at being a single owner w/no mods

good luck trying to find an evo for around 15-17k, I bought my 05 from the previous person I sold it to for 15k with 90k miles on it just because I persuaded him that there were alot of issues with the car which were minor for me but he would need a mechanic

but the prices are only going to get higher, the bank told me my car is worth 24k in its current condition and now since the motor is built and car is now in better condition after I fixed everything I can sell it for 30k at least.

I predict in about 10-15 years they will be worth around 40-50k just because the rarity of them in general

25k would be a good deal for that car if it really is all stock and well-maintained.

22k would be an absolute steal. i'd start with that

Let me know when you find a 05 MR with that mileage for 13k. I'll offer them 14k and add it to my collection.

The evo is generally a $20k range car because most people are still willing to pay that much for them. You can get them for $13k if you find someone with one in bad condition or just doesn't know what they actually have. Don't feel like you are overpaying if you spend between $18-$25k on a car in fair shape and it makes you happy.

Pay what it’s worth to you knowing that they will never be cheaper than they are today.
