DamlierChrysler to acquire Mitsu...
Evo
Don't forget about the old school DSM (Diamond Star Motors) which was the joint venture of Mitsu and Chrysler...
I wouldn't be surprised if they did own most of the company.
How many of you here owned a Talon/Eclipse/Laser in the years 90-99? Just curious to see how many of you are now Lancer owners. Once you go turbo AWD, you can't go back!

^^ouch.. F1s tough when you can't afford to build your own test tracks exactly like they did the new Bahrain circuit.. Every team should be given the money to build a test track of the same materials for testing like Ferrari can afford to do for one race..

Mitsubishi Motors sees net loss swelling to 676 mln dlrs
Feb 19 '04
TOKYO (AFP) — Struggling Japanese automaker Mitsubishi Motors forecast its net loss would balloon to 72 billion yen (676 million dollars) in the year to March due to slumping sales in North America.
The forecast compares with the earlier estimate of a loss of 11 billion yen, Japan's fourth-ranked carmaker said in a statement.
For the year to March 2003, Mitsubishi, which is 36.97 percent owned by DaimlerChrysler, reported a net profit of 43.9 billion yen.
Mitsubishi Motors Corp. also downgraded its sales forecast to 2.47 trillion yen from the 2.6 trillion yen projected earlier, with the recurring loss now seen at 115 billion yen instead of 62 billion yen.
They just might sell the MR over here LOL or the EVO again for that matter.

I own a DSM, but I can't go Lancer unless it's EVO. And they're not available up here, and I don't have the money. So there goes that idea.
I have had MANY DSM turbo's, non-turbos, AWD, and FWD drive and now I drive the Lancer ralliart and I love it!! Sure it isnt turbo, but it is still a nice car from top to bottom...that and 4 door insurance is nice!!
I have a question that i am not seeing asked yet...
1. Do we buy stock in Mitsubishi now??
2. Would that make the Mitsu stock convert to DiamlerChrysler stock?
3. Or does it just stay as it is after the merger?
I would think that having the money of DiamlerChrysler behind Mitsu that they would be able to develop and distribute MUCH better than they do currently.

Screw all that...I wish that they would pull the plug on
and let it go south. heehehehe
... No more EVO.... Therefore, we'll be the only EVOs around!!!! Yeah....Cheers...
