According to todays news, DamlierChrysler is/has acquited majority ownership of Mitsubishi.

Any speculation as to what effect this will have on the Evo?

Well the 2 door sebring and the eclipse are already almost the same car...and my 1997 avenger was the same as well...

 

Can you say dodge SR-T evolution.

I've bet the dodge version will be assembled here but probably doesn't have all the bells and whistles of the true evo.

 

Yeh those electrified windows are really fancy! What bells and whistles, it doesn't even have cruise control.

 

dodge has their own aftermarket parts. Like ralli art in the uk. They go to different race tracks and sell their parts to people that want to upgrade or that just broke on the track. Or you can just go to the dealer to get upgrades. I'm not sure of pricing, but this might be a step in the right direction.

 

they have owned a chunk of mitsu for some time now...it was they who influenced mitsu into designing their cars with a distinct design identity (the triangle in the grill)
