questions and help please
Good morning my name is Eduardo Durán and I am the president of the club evo Spain, I have been making videos on our YouTube channel (
) for a few months about the history of all Lancer Evolution models, generation by generation, when I arrived at Evolution VIII I did not want to stop Side the American version but it is very difficult for me to have information on American generations, starting prices in the American market and especially the all-wheel drive configuration with which it came out in your market
According to been able to learn looking for information could be summarized in this ??
-The 2003 version, if I am not mistaken, equipped:
5-speed gearbox
Front open differential (non-differential), a hydraulic control multiple clutch (or hydraulic transfer) in the middle 50/50 and a limited rear differential
-The Evolution VIII 2004
Front open differential (non-differential), a hydraulic transfer in the middle 50/50 and a limited rear differential
-then the RS versions of 2004
Equipped front lsd self-locking, center hydraulic clutch and rear self-locking
Evo8 2005 Versions
3 options were sold
MR, GSR and RS
-MR aluminum roof box of 6
And front LSD differential
Central acd differential and rear self-locking
-The GSR
Box of 5 without aluminum roof
Front open differential, central ACD and rear self-locking differential
-And the RS 2005 (I think it's MR) because it includes an aluminum roof box of 5
Front self-locking, ACD and rear self-locking

2003 options were 2 wings, high and low, sunroof and a gauge package. Open front differential is correct. I have no idea what a non-differential is. No hydraulic clutch in the transfer case, the center differential has a viscus coupling. HID headlights are standard. The rear differential was of the plated type with the plates stacked on the wrong order to prevent them from working properly. This was, I'm told, to prevent owner complaints concerning a working and noisy diff.
