TRC did a feature on Dan's Evo 8. AG spec build 4g63 2.2 Wet block, Xona 67mm. I know Dan personally and he's got some drivermod!

Surprised at the full wet block, non O-ringed. Thought he wasnt going to mention the wheels. 15's!!! Thought they were 17's at first

That car is a beast. Did he mention if it was a 4g63 or 4g64?

 

Its a 4G63, no cement,no oring. Stock evo 9 headgasket. The TRC evo is the same setup.

The 63 block has more material between the bores and offers a better sealing surface then a 64 block. Now, If you have a good machine shop they should be able to O-ring a 64 block .

 

That car is a beast !! Like they said will basically annihilate anything on the street including some 1/4 mile drag cars!

 

I need to find where all these dudes are hiding at. Hardly ever see Evo guys out this way.

 

Really makes you wonder with that "usuable" powerband at what point is too much power for a track/circuit car?

 

The professional awesome car makes like 800ish. The tilton Evo and few other Evos in the unlimited WTAC class make around 1000.

It's useable if you have the car and skill set for it.
