Replacing gas tank. Ideas on steps?

I just bought a 2005 MR and it has been sitting for over 6 years. The tank is bad and needs to be replaced. When taking off the fuel pump housing (fuel pump was bad to start), the bolts snapped off from the rust and mouse pee.

I bought a used tank from CA and a new fuel pump. After getting the rear drive shaft and exhaust out, it doesn't want to come out without hitting the rear diff. Any ideas?

its a pain of a job. See 12:25 and 23:38 in the video for a bit of info and visuals. If i remember correctly, i did end up getting it by just loosening the rear subframe bolts.

It is a painful job and you are lucky that was a Texas car. This MN car has lots of rust and stubborn/broken bolts. I'll have to loosen the subframe bolts (after some time with a torch) because I just can't get my hands in some of those tight spots to loosen fuel lines.
