Im having a problem pumping gas with my 03 Evo. The pump will imediately click out and fuel will spill over if I repump too quick. Could a check valve or the charcoal canister gone bad? Seems like the tank is not letting out fuel vapor out.

 

Common with the EVO if the pump pumps out fuel vey quickly it will stop the pump my guess is that the fuel cant get down the filler neck quick enough. Only happens at some stations

 

Maybe you need to insert the pump a lil deeper.

 

Sounds like a "short nozzle" issue.......

 

I had this same problem but only on very cold days here in MN. Let me know if you found out what's going on.

 

im thinking fuel vapor not escaping where it should. I did notice when I open the cap no air noise coming out of the tank.

 

I think it also has to do with the gas station how long the nozle is

 

Mine does that too. You can really get that nozzle in there with a little fiddling, the deeper it is the less likely it will spray back out.
