ah you had the cell light, that’s why I’m a little on hope with this 02 sensor swap,as I have no engine light and no DTC when scanning it.

Should the downstream 02sensor be reading 0volts???
Even if the catalysts has been gutted out?
Is there even a 2nd 02 sensor on a evo 8?

yes there is a secondary sensor post CAT. It checks to see if the cat is working ....IIRc the VIII/IX had it on the rear of the cat

what made you believe it was the 02 sensor on the Acura?
I’m having normal power but stalling/rough idle and black smoke. If you stand behind the car it’s it’s really heavy fumes which makes it hard to breath(like a diesel)

Change the front O2 sensor and check to see if the post cat sensor is plugged in and working. Use an Odb2 scanner to check

just remembered my cat is gutted hence maybe why I’m not getting any reading, that’s what I’m thinking or doesn’t matter should be reading?
rear shows 0volts and front show 0.8v but I’m not seeing fluctuating from what I’m reading, then some post I see says it’s fine if it doesn’t fluctuate as it’s only at idle.
so getting real confusing

They messed up my order,so had to put my old one back in.
so just trying to test my old one as oppose to just throwing parts at it.
