would a evo 8 be a good car for long distance roadtrip?

Go for it! I used to drive 3200km for work every 2 weeks and the car is a dream on the highway. I do have 6 speed...and stock exhaust, does yours drone and make people crazy? Who cares, GO FOR IT!
I would have serious concerns about this. You're either going through Russia or Iran & Central Asia (it appears you're going through Russia to Astana or Almaty), and these are countries that never got Evos or many 4G63-powered cars. The roads east of Moscow may be particularly punishing on your car. Spare parts are going to be very sparse and will take weeks to get to you if the car fails; for something like this, I would prefer to use a car that has support worldwide, and preferably not my own.
Yup, fuel would be the biggest concern. Do they have 93 along the way? Can the 8 take 91? The range on the Evo isn't that great either.
Comfort wise, it's really up to the person. I've driven 500 miles per day in my 8 when I was younger, I might want more comfort these days, but it's definitely doable.

I drove my evo 9 2700miles/4300km in 3 days across the United States last summer. It’s doable but I’d carry extra fluids, spark plugs, pulleys etc etc in case. It’s pretty rough without cruise control lol
I own a 2003 Evo. That's an eighteen year old car. For a car of my vintage I don't do maintenance, I do restoration. My car has a new radiator and all new cooling hoses. Brakes and rotors were replaced last year. The front wheel bearings were replaced. All the hoses for the turbo were replaced. The car has a new propeller shaft, a new transmission and new clutch. The tie rod ends have been replaced. All the timing parts were recently replaced. Leaking seals on the injectors were replaced last summer. The tires were new last fall. Several years ago the car got two new shocks. The A/C has been gone through with couple of leaks fixed and a new compressor clutch. And, the car has cruise. Things I'd consider weak points on my car include starter, alternator and heater core.
No offense but I've never heard of Kazachstan. But, I think my car in its present condition, if the roads are decent, could make the trip. But, I'd still give it a through going over before starting. I know nothing of the condition of your car.

The car is for going fast on gravel/tarmac/snow. Not for long stints cruising on the highway. Rent a car. Your body and car will thank you later. Why waste consumables on anything other than pure driving excitement/pleasure with these cars at this point. Or don't. Whatever, its your car.
100%, the lack of cruise control makes the ride that much rougher for long road trips!
