Help identifying rear diff

Ok so I just got this E5 CP9A. Got it from a Japanese auction and the previous owner had made a bunch of modifications before reverting much of it back to stock so it would pass Japanese inspections. Noticed when I got the car I had an AYC light and figured it was because the fluid in the AYC redivide was bone dry. Through the car up on a lift to see about bleeding the system/changing the fluids and come to find out it doesn’t have the standard diff. Without cracking it open can someone help me identify what this is? RS? Cusco? Some other aftermarket? Or maybe I’m just an idiot. Still plan on doing a full fluid swap since I just don’t know the condition of everything. Thanks guys!

(also it’s not covered in oil.. it’s just the Japanese undercarriage sealing compound)

IX casing has a cross rib near the front mounts for the jacking point so I don't think its 8/9. But other than that its hard to know which mitsu diff was swapped in. Are there non-AYC trim levels of earlier cars?

The housing is from an RS version, AYC is definitely gone. We can't tell you what diff is in it if you don't crack it open.

Awesome thanks for the replies! When I get a chance I’ll crack it.
