What size fuses for the engine?

My battery was relocated to the trunk before I bought it. Sadly they were not fused, just lumped together on a single resettable fuse. What size fuse should be used for all the connections (fuse box, starter, Alternator) Also I've seen relocation videos where there's 4 wires however when I separated the wires today, there were only 3. What am I missing here?

if you have a non ACD evo, its just the alternator that has a 100amp fuse. The starter and fuse box have no fuses from the battery. The fuse box already has each circuit protected with its own fuse, and the starter will draw a different amperage depending on certain factors.

the non ACD evo fusable link: mn164187

with ACD has a second 60 amp fuse: MR583955

A lot of people(myself included), will use the evo X fusable link box when relocating the battery. So instead of the big lump, each connection will have its own terminal thats powered from the battery wire. The Evo X one has 5 different fuses(80A 80A 120A 140A 80A). In this case, I put the Alternator to the 120A, the fuse box to the 80A(this doesnt matter too much since none of the fuses in the fuse box itself is even close to 80) and then I connected the starter directly to the battery connection.

The 4th wire you see in the video is probably the ACD. If you dont have an ACD, you really only need a fuse for your alternator. But if you want a cleaner, more attractive look, you can do the evo x box.
