Issue please assist
Okay, so yesterday I made the trek from Ga. to Orlando. Right before I get to my destination the damn car shuts off right before a toll. I push her to the side of the road and try to find out what the hell was going on with her. NO POWER!! My battery is relocated to the trunk, and there is a 150A fuse there, it keeps blowing. I put three fuses in the thing and no damn luck!! It was upsetting to say the least. Can anyone thing of a possible diagnosis for this? Ofcourse I checked the 0 gauge wire to look for a short, couldn't find one. No love from the car. Hopefully I can get pointed in the right direction from someone here........
You have a single line running to the front for the starter and the fuse panel/accessories or two separate lines?
My friend blew fuses for days trying to get his car running right until he realized he had undersized the fuse at the terminal by a factor of 3.
You either have a short, or the fuse is too small. Those are the only options I can think of, given the fact that the car does run from time to time without issue. Now I'd like to rule out too small of a fuse since the highest draw through the wire is at startup, but I can't since maybe you have some kicking system or something that draws a ton of power when the alternator can't keep up.
Where's the wire ran? Under or in the car?

Is your battery cable that goes from your trunk to the engine bay run under your car? Have you recently scraped somewhere? Also, check your connections under your hood at the factory terminal location.
Did you get her home?

I am in Orlando, had it towed to my brothers house. We looked underneath and I couldn't find it. Not sure why it has been fine for months. I did scrape but I didn't think it was on the side where the the wire was running. I will check again though because I didn't find it today. I do have a system, but it is not really draining anything because the subs are out and I shut everything off prior to starting it (by turning it to ACC). Any other ideas hit me up. Paul, unfortunately I am not home.....

Mine is routed under the drivers side, not the glove box. I will do a better check of the wire tomorrow, will raise it up again and ensure it isn't frayed anywhere. I actually tried 100A fuses today, but didn't think it would be an issue. I know the most strain is at start up, so who knows. Hopefully my brother can track it down, LOL. With me climbing my big *** under the car. I will go from front to back and attempt to find a fray. I am also going to buy some 150A fuses tomorrow, seeing how that is what was in it. I couldn't get them today due to the stores being closed and me being drunk last night, haha, and waking up late. But most stuff was closed today even here in Orlando!! WTF?!?!
