Slim Fan Help

Got an issue. Turbo kit is a Morrison Fab T3 Standard placement setup with a compturbo 6767. Switched back to a OEM Setup with a mishimoto slim fan + shroud combo. The fan will not fit (please see pics below). Only got it due to the oem fan was way too big. Please see pictures below. I know another option would to go with the Sheepey CSF slim radiator with the built in fan w/shroud, but would like to avoid as I already spent money on this setup. Any help would be appreciated.

Remove the fan from the shroud and zip tie the fan directly to the radiator. If you still need more clearance you may need to sell the fan and buy a slimmer fan.

Any over heating issues with removing the shroud?

With a good fan you will not have overheating issues. I recommend spal as that is what I’m using and many on this forum without issue. I didn’t see what fan you are running or what cfm it’s rated at.

it’s a mishimoto slim fan rated at 1120ish cfm, not sure if that’s enough.

My mishimito fan had me overheating while waiting in line at autocrosses, it also wasn't making perfect contact, there were some kind of brackets and gaps. I switched to a SPAL, made sure it was nice and secure directly against the radiator and I've had no problems since then. (I also have a half filled block and this was 95+ degree weather.)

If you mount the mishimoto directly it might be enough.

for now I got it mounted directly without the shroud. Hoping it’ll be good enough for the car. Can I ask, do you have a OEM radiator with the Spal mounted directly to the radiator also?

I’m running a mishimoto radiator with the spal mounted directly to the radiator. Running a Garrett gtx3582r in standard placement fyi.

I haven't had any issues with overheating or fitment with my Spal with no shroud. You shouldn't have any problem without the shroud, but If you do end up getting rid of this assembly I'd definitely recommend the Spal as well.
