I bought a 95 evo3 motor. It has a 6 bolt crankshaft, a titanium colored valve cover with red DOHC 2.0 writing, and a T-25 turbo. Is it really an EVO 3 motor? I am trying to put it into a salvaged 95 Talon Tsi AWD. I purchased a 1990 1G awd 6 bolt flywheel to accomidate a US 2G awd tranny. Will the motor bolt right in? Will I have Power Steering or A/C? Will the US tranny work with the evo3 motor. Any info or HELP will be GREATLY appreciated, Thanks. kawika

 

So...why are you swapping an Evo engine for an Evo engine? Worried about crankwalk or something?

 

I think he's swapping an Evo engine into a car to replace a USDM Eclipse 4G63T to avoid the crankwalk. But I thought EVO's came with Mitsubishi (Heavy Industries) 16G's, not Garrett T-25's like the Eclipse motors. Sounds like somebody pulled a fast one on you.

 

Hmm...read it to fast. He mentioned it's a salvaged Talon so I'm guessing someone probably alreadly laid claim to the stock motor.

 

I wanted to put a 6 bolt evo motor in especially to avoid crankwalk of the 7 bolt 2g motor. The salvaged car didnt have a motor. I think that even the automatic transmission lancer EVOs come with a T-25 and the maual tranny comes with the 16G? not sure let me know.

 

Does an EVO3 car come with a T-25 turbo, like an auto tranny car... Thanks for your help. kawika
