Im not be an original owner but I was finally fortunate to get an Evo 8 back in 2017 with 42,728mi and it currently has 50k miles. In 2020 Hurricane Laura hit Lake Charles, LA I evacuated and then came back after a month. One of the first things I did was go check to see if there was any damage while parked in the parking lot of my apartment. I was shocked because when I looked over the car I was speechless no damage. So after Hurricane Laura the past 2.5 years I have been going through the car, and now I am nearly done with getting a bunch of stuff sorted out, fresh engine build, new turbo setup, Ohm Racing engine harness, Emtron KV8.

Oh trust me, when I get the motor back in, everything button up, and get the car tuned.......going to be driving the **** out of it.
Hahaha. Yes! If mine were more accessible, on a regular basis, I'd drive mine more too. But... it has race car parts on it that make it a bit.... "over the top" for around town. I don't mind.. but I do get some looks
I dont think I'd ever sell. I've already deviated so far from stock. The stock cars are what bring in the big money, but while a stock car was good these cars really shine when upgraded. Even the modded ones bring in some money but for the 30 or 40 grand I could maybe get, I dont see a replacement that would provide the smiles per mile or be as capable. And with several other vehicles at the house it does not bother me not to drive it. I'd rather drive it and work on it for fun than out of any necessity. Even bought another evo to play with. Relatively inexpensive, has some value, and give me a hobby/interest forever. Hopefully can share that passion with my 2 boys as well.

When I lived in SoCal I always got these two things at stop lights "Hey you need new brakes" Porterfield R4 pads, and "I think your car is broke" clutch in with a Exedy Triple. Currently in Louisiana but moving back to my hometown in BFE Kansas, again I will get the same questions wherever I go hahahaha.

Exit 3 on the NJTPK.
Btw, I always wonder why most Evo front shot picture I see here have no rock chips on its hood, did you guys have it resprayed? while the paint on mine is still original and descent, it does have a lot of rock chips on its hood
i am not original owner but i am the second owner. mostly stock minus a few bolts ons and a set of ohlins coils. 106k miles, sadly only driven 1400 miles this yr.
Kept in garage all of its life, 44K Miles, engine / turbo never opened, ECU never re-flashed, full set of maintenance records (ALL work done by Mitsubishi):
Get props, thumbs-ups and buy-offers ALL the time... last offer, all-in-cash, no questions asked was for $55K, and I had not even started bargaining... So price is anywhere between $60k and $80k...
