Ah ok. I need one now, mine just went bad. I have a hard time figuring out if the used ones are actually functioning

You can test them. Give it 12v power for a second and it will click. Also can test it once it's installed with a sequence of gas pedel pumps and key cycles. Can look that up.

Most blown engines I see are due to a bad tune. If it's of poor quality or pushes the engine beyond it's limits.... **POOF**. My car's original engine lasted about 127k before developing low compression in cylinder 3. I can't vouch for what the car had been through before I bought it... but I can imagine. I'm expecting my current engine to go at least 100k miles. Much longer than the car should live LOL

Yes. It's on a scale. You have stock HP/reliability at one end and high HP/broken on the other. Adjust the slider to your comfort level haha.

Same. I've done the high HP thing before. It was fun, but got old quick. My current car is the most fun I've ever had while driving. It does everything perfectly. I ended up putting in a brand new engine from Mitsubishi. Best decision ever.

My scale is broken. I'm on 27ish lbs of boost on a stock 220k motor. For the last 150k miles. Only cams and headstuds.

Boost is fine if you have enough cooling. I've been running 28psi with an HTA71 on e85, on the old engine and new. Will last forever. With 220k miles, maybe it's a bit tired, but should be fine

Right. The tune is solid. Drives so perfect. Has since it was tuned in 2008. Retuned a few years later to add tephra mods. If it's tired I don't feel it. Pulls just as hard. Only issue I ever had was blowing spark out at high rpm. COP kit fixed that.

Not really sure. Never dynod it after the fuel system. Turbo and tune and etc. Just street tuned. Hp isn't that important to me. Drivability. Power delivery. Handling. and how it feels matters. I run an e85 tune at 28lbs. And a pump tune at 23lbs. I know I have ran side by side with an 850hp ctsv. I'm sure I'm way lighter though.

Only time it was dynoed was way back in 2007 on the AMS dyno at their old shop. And it was only 320hp. All stock except for intake exhaust and mechanical boost controller. With basic ams tune.
