Looks like I’m going to pull the trigger on a evo IX in the next coming days. It’s got 147k on the clock, but a fresh engine build, FP black, and 1200cc injectors. Should be ready for E85 and hopefully a “safe” 500 AWHP. I’m excited!!! I’ve been a member of this site since 2010 and have wanted an evo since then. What a remarkable time to be alive.
P.S. I’m keeping the mustang. Put her on the dyno last night and she put down 818/615 on E85!!!

Sweet looking Mustang! Looks like a fun time with that blower. Good luck with the evo!
Careful man, you're gonna get put on the "iGnOrE LiSt" and lose your godsend of a privilege for your posts to be read, then countered by close-minded and narcissistic banter
Some people just don't understand that automotive preferences are not always and entirely based on lap times..especially to those 99.9% of us who don't track our cars. I can't even believe comparisons are being made between an AWD turbo 4 cylinder built off an econobox sedan and a 2 door I6 RWD sports coupe. Similar comparisons can be made between the new Supra and a S1000RR.
One of the main reasons people bought Evo's and STi's is the practicality of 4 doors and the AWD. The new GR Corolla is the closest thing to an Evo we have today and the price for the performance isn't too far off even after 20 years of automotive development.
I've been put on this list, life has never been the same, still trying to pick up the pieces and move on you bring up excellent points though, there is so much more to the car world than "having the newest thing" anyone who doesn't recognize this is just way too narrow minded. (MOST people I talk to actually prefer older chassis aesthetics but that's subjective).
I also disagree about the fact that evo's are out dated even performance wise in 2022. For what Mitsubishi made them for, they are still able to compete with modern cars if not better. This is mostly due to lack of safety regulation in the early 2000's leading to lighter, more mechanically reliable cars with the prefect mix of analogue and tech that introduced itself during that era. When you look at it really, modern cars just added a bunch of bells and whistles/power assisted tech that doesn't contribute too much for performance. Its like how aerospace/military still uses machines from the 90s/2000's and they do the exact same job, all they had to do was upgrade internal components like computers. The mechanical base is the same.
I dont know man. we all want the additional character our choice of vehicle adds. No offense to Supra owners, but that car screams "midlife crisis" much like every 2 seater bmw, Most people just think i race an econobox they used to have when we're just FOB :P I guess that's ok
Three of the people I've put on my ignore list over the years, posting in one thread in reaction to my post. It's like a homecoming of me living rent free in their heads. I guess my "narcissism" brings all the boyz to the yard.
Ironically, that list consists of some of the only people that actually post on this forum anymore.

Enjoy the echo chamber.
He ignored the only 3 members that ever post. So I don't get it is he talking to himself? Sorry for the off topic op, I couldn't resist lol
It's amusing to see a grown man giving enough of a **** to use an ignore list arguing over a car..a car that this dead car forum isn't dedicated to lmao
