I need new engine mounts for my evo. I can’t find any mounts for it since it’s discontinued and I’m located in the states. Will dsm mounts work ???

 

Not 100% sure. However there is a FB group for early evos or evo 1 2 3. The guy there had some made and is selling them, he is out of the UK. I bought a set but have yet to install in my E3.

I believe the uppers have a DSM equivalent, but the lower roll stops are Evo-specific.

Hard Race makes a full set of rubber inserts, and Mad Polly makes a full set of polyurethane inserts.

I find it funny that a 1gb axle worked for my evo 1 but a 1gb engine mount is apparently different. I wish there was a list of interchanges. It's so hard trying to keep these cars running

 

Just buy the HardRace kit and be done with it. When a company makes a designed solution for the Evo 123, it's best to go with it instead of dicking around with back-door fixes.

 

Wont that have a lot more vibration than oem ?? My Evo 3 is 100% stock so I was trying to keep it as original as I could. I don’t want to have a buzzy engine

They're not bad. I have Ralliart hardened rubber mounts in my car and it's very liveable. I'd ask them for the ETA on the inserts, they may just be on backorder.

OEM mounts might still be available, check Amayama for these:

Roll stop: MR103554 ($56.57)
Roll stop: MR103555 ($46.87)
Trans mount: MR103556 ($124.70)
Engine mount: MB911718 ($64.39)
So that's $292.53 (plus shipping) for a whole new set of OEM mounts and the metal mounting brackets. Pretty good deal if you want OEM mounts, I'd say.
