Where Can I Find A CE9A EVO II/III Engine?!?!?!!?!?!?

Threw a rod through my block so now I need a new motor but I cannot find one anywhere. I called 30 engine importers but they do not have any. One importer tried to sell me an RVR engine and claimed it was an evo engine........ I am located in the united states. I do not want to use a eclipse engine in my evo!

Thank you

There's an Evo 1 block and crank on kijiji out of Edmonton if you want to start from scratch. Most of the engines from Japanese wreckers stay in Japan now and the days of "half cuts" are over because the car values are soaring, so engines rarely come up for sale.

Also, how on earth did you throw a rod?

From my understanding you could use a GVR4 block or early DSM. Take the opportunity to build it so it wont happen again. Go with a 6 bolt motor as well.

The 6 bolt would work with a bunch of modification, but be aware that any non-Evo engine is going to tank the value pretty badly. And given where these things are going price-wise, that's not a great idea. It's not going to be any easier to find an engine in 5 years either.

FYI: I saw it again tonight while surfing. Add some forged pistons and rods, and re-use whatever you can from your old engine.

Meh if you bought any evo for resale value you heart was in the wrong place to begin with. These cars have always been made to tinker with. Never came out of the gate any where near their potential and only begging to be modified.

I bought this car from a dealership and the engine blew on me so they are paying for a replacement. I just need an engine that’s ready to go to drop in. They rebuilt my engine the first time and they didn’t do it correctly so they are replacing it. I don’t want to use a dsm engine since I want to keep this car authentic. It’s a show car. 100% stock

There is an Evo 1 engine for sale in Japan right now, it looks a bit crusty but it's the only one around. Contact a major broker if you want to buy it: https://page.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/n467072357
