Trans or Transfer Case Issue?
Trans or Transfer Case Issue?
Recently I noticed when I turn left or right my the car would make a constant thump noise.
When I was driving home I did the same thing to see if it was the suspension. The car did it again. This time it was different
Now when I put the car in 1st-5th and let the clutch out slowly the car would make the same thunk noise but it would keep doing it over and over. Now when I put the car in reverse the car would drive fine
T-Case does whine and is due for a rebuild. But my question is this a symptom of the transfer case, or is this a transmission problem?

It sounds like a bushing problem. Clunking is usually worn out subframe stuff. I would take a look at your rear end bushings and or your mustache bar bushings. Maybe a carrier bearing as well, tough to tell without the car being here.
You might want to jack up one wheel at a time and see if you feel play in CV joints and wheel bearings. Then check the drive shaft. Pulling trans / t case is a job. Make sure you are not having an easier to fix problem. CV joints are more active and moving through an angle at the front when turning.

I gotta keep tightening sway bar end links to stop a clunk, so maybe those as well. Also, adjustable links from whiteline chew dix. Or I suck at them. But no way on earth I suck. GF said so. Mom...well she had issues.
