I am completly new to this import world. Have a mustang that makes 600+ HP. It just seems to me that the people that are having the majority of the problems are driving 03's. Have they corrected the 04-05's? I mean look at the warranty, or are they offering that warranty because of the issues? I am looking too get one right now, an 05. Can't quit thinking 4dr's, performance, gas mileage, and lets not forget LOOKS MAN THAT GIRL IS FINE.........ahhhhh it's a dream come true!!!!!!!!

BTW the price I have gotten was $31,800 out the door, is this good?

Thanks, excellent forum, well put togeather
Brian

The problems found are mostly driver induced. Also remember, people like to ***** more than they like to praise. You won't see many posts on here about "I love my car. It's perfect" even though 90% of higher are actually thinking just that. You will see the rare, minority on here, complaining about something. Most of the time it is to let other know about a potential problem, maybe either to get advice or to see if anyone else is in the same situation they are in. I really get tired of the posts from the drag race guys on here that whine about their stock clutch or front differential going out, when they do high RPM clutch drops. What do they expect to happen on a car with all wheel drive and sticky tires?

As far as the price you were quoted.....What model was that for? There's the RS, The GSR, and the MR.

Think of the RS as a Cobra R model, the GSR as the GT, and the MR as the Cobra. I don't know if you are familiar with the different models or not, but comming from a Mustang world, I thought that would make sense. The only thing is, the RS is the cheapest of the 3, even though it is the best performer.

Around 25,000 miles. Stock engine pulley and water pulley damaged. Wobbling and screaching really bad. =( At least it's getting fixed right now under warranty.

New Evo, New post.

Never had any problems on my 2003, and I don't have any problems on my 2004, either. The '04 only has 4,500 miles on it right now, but it's had mods since 1,500 miles. I suspect it will hold up just fine....just like my last one.

14,500K - Clutch became dust

16,500K - Plug from underneath drivers floor-mat just inside the frame-rail leaking

(carpet or mats still haven't been replaced, been getting the run-around from 2 different dealers)(car smells like mildew)

21,000K - 02 sensor harness recall

21,000K - won't fix 5th gear if it's engagement issue b/c of my clutch.
