Speed density on Evo 7

Hi all, long time lurker first time poster, I did try to add this post to the engine management / tuning thread but no option was available.

Id like to convert my JDM evo 7 to speed density with the inclusion of flex fuel if possible and was wondering about the easiest method todo so.
I've read through the merlin's tuning guide, and just about every post on the topic of speed density and flex fuel tuning on the stock ecu, but anything around the evo 7 in particular is very vague.
I can see in the past that there were links to 90550001 V5 Roms with speed density tables / free fuel tables but those links have since broken.
In a perfect world a tephra mod 90550001 v5 or v7 Rom with SP and Flex fuel tables would be ideal but doesn't seem to exist.

Before anyone says to pay tephra, i am currently running the tephra V7 90550701 Rom purchased from evo scan.

Any help would be appreciated, Thanks

This thread https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ec...ispreloading=1 might be your best bet. I'm not sure if you can run 9653 roms on an Evo 7, nor what tweaks you might need to make if it is indeed possible at to use 9653-based roms.

I haven't heard of there being any freely available flex fuel roms other than for those listed in the above link. Alternatively, Fitronic might be an option, although I'm not sure if the shops that offer it can offer it remotely.

Another option is to use Wayback Machine (Google it) and from there punch in your broken links and chances are that it has saved copies of the now-dead links (including the ability to download files).

Bump

Unfortunately, the way-back machine has no data on the links even when stripped back to the base domains .

Id definitely look into Fitronic if there was a local shop which unfortunately there is not and remote tuning can become difficult when schedules don't line up due to having to work full time.

Im willing to put up money for a Rom that will work as id preferably like to tune the car myself due to being in a rural area where the closest reputable shop is quite a distance way.

Your best bet at this point would be to investigate if you can run a 9653 ROM. I suspect it will work for you (but don't quote me on it). It's quite likely people on this forum have posted comments on their successes or failures, so hopefully you can find some good info.

If/when you do try it, I'm sure one of the changes you'll need to do is to set a periphery bit to disable the rear 02. There will probably be others to change, too.

For what it's worth, I run a 9626 based ROM in my JDM 8 (with Tephra V7 and DMA). I have an untested SD ROM to try (one day!) and intend to port the 9653 free fuel code across to my ROM but I don't recommend you hold your breath waiting for me!
