Can you remove a rear subframe with jack stands and a car jack? I need to rust proof my car.

Nevermind I just realized the car won't be high enough to do **** all when it's dropped lol.

I couldn't find anything like that when I searched. Any idea of what the title may be? If I could get a head start that would be great. Thanks for replying.

just like doing the front diff/transmission, its harder if you dont lower the subframe. I use 4 small jacks. its probably the same plus an assistant jack operator for the tank

I built the whole car up from almost bare shell using jackstands and a relatively large hydraulic jack. Bear in mind, there are no lifts in rally service areas... hell, even in pro rally workshops they do it all on the floor for training..

anyway... just support the diff with the jack, take all the bolts and nuts off the subframe and it just drops off... Tank is a 4 nut job and some fiddling with hoses/wiring.. Removing fuel and tank pipe makes life easier... You will probably break the bolts that hold that little shield that protects the filler pipe..

Yeah, if you can get the floor clearance needed with jackstands, the jack points are on the chassis of the Evo, so it can rest on jackstands. That way anything you want to remove can be dropped as long as there's enough room between the bottom of the car and the floor.
