While not the original owner of my car, I am the second owner and have had it for over 10 years at this point. OG-ish lol

Appreciate it lol. If I had been old enough to buy one new, I would have lol. I was just a kid when they came to the US

Original owner here. TB IX GSR with 49k on it. Bought brand new October of 05. Wouldn’t trade it for anything. There’s just nothing out there for what it’s worth that’s better. It was my dream car back then and still is today.

Thats awesome! I was only 12 when the VIII was released, but it’s been a dream car of mine for as long as I can remember. I’ve owned 3(VII-X-IX) and without trying to sound like too much of a fanboy, I just haven’t driven anything else that gives that same feel/soul that the evo does. The IX won’t ever be going anywhere. Now if I can just ad a V or VI to the garage lol.

Yep, completely agree that nothing else has the soul or feel of an VIII or IX. Just love the rawness and that just can’t be replicated anymore in todays sports cars. Everything these days needs to cater to a very broad audience and you lose the driver focused experience through computers, driver aids, comfort/luxury amenities etc.. every time I drive my Evo I feel alive and no car since or possibly ever will give me the same feeling.

Maybe an Ariel Atom. Lol

Original owner here. only 11,800 miles. I even still have the newspaper ad where I called and they said they would only charge "sticker"
(which was a smoking deal the first year or so the EVO8 came out).

Recent pic.

I recently hit a deer with my Tesla Y, and I’ll tell you driving the Evo daily absolutely is a different beast. Even driving on pump around 600awhp it’s unbelievable and yesterday I was just cranking through 1st, 2nd, 3rd yelling yesssss! Wish it was a bit warmer so I can throw it into total beast mode on C85 but already tired can’t handle the power since they can’t get warm enough.

Wow. 30K OTD. I paid 35K for my IX 4 years ago lol. I’m cool with that, I hope the value continues to rise. I’ll never sell it.
