baffled oil pan recommendation
baffled oil pan recommendation
hi
now im used to the local track and combined with the nankang ar-1 tyre im noticing oil pressure drops in right handers
the moroso pan has a bad reputation for quality and leaking and the infinite evo pan with the external regulator is just over the top
the aeroflow one is bit iffy since it comes across as a alibaba piece
i was thinking going for the JUN/buscher oil pan since they look stock and therefore easy to swap

Hope I am not too late on this. I've had the RaceFabNZ pan for a few years on my evo 9 (Some of the previous replies were in on the same group buy). On street tires and at medium and lower power levels (Stock bottom end sub 400whp) it is okay. But after going to sub-200TW tires and sorting the suspension I will see lower pressures (mainly on the octopus corner @ NJMP Thunderbolt which is known for popping 4G63s). Pushing up the power numbers and Cornering G you can see "acceptable" pressure from the RaceFab unit. For a built motor the infinite pan is worth the install hassle.
For a race prepped wet sump, the infinite evo pan has 2 more baffles over my admittedly older Racefab, as well as the external oil pump feed/pressure regulator. Some say its overkill, I call it R factor or insurance. This is not to knock on the Racefab pan, it is still a superb upgrade over stock (36+ psi minimum ive seen over the years comapred to stock which can drop to the teens). You can go bolt on with a Racefab pan and add accusump later or jump straight into InfiniteEvo pan. I'm not selling my racefab to keep as spare in case, its never given me problems.
