Misfire feels like spark blow out... but not
I have an 03 Evo and have been trying to diagnose a nasty misfire that feels like spark blowout - but I don't think it is.
[Symptoms] Misfire seems be throttle dependent more than anything. It will sputter even in neutral if given more than ~40% throttle rapidly. The same thing happens driving.
[Parts ruled out]
-- Ignition System
-- Plugs - I installed new plugs gapped to .022 - the (old ones) had very little miles maybe 500 or so
-- Coils - I have been running JDC COPs and swapped back to stock - no change, so back to the JDCs
-- Fuel System
-- New AN line from tank to the rail
-- FIC fuel rail
-- Fuel labs mini FPR
-- Walbro 485 pump
--Cleaned my FIC 2150s with injector machine and replaced the filters
-- Swapped OMNI 4BAR to a used one I had laying around - Logs showed both MAPs to look good
-- Checked compression
-- Checked to make sure battery was fully charged
-- Smoke tested
-- Tested TPS with multimeter and looked to be in spec
Self tune so lets rule that out
I am getting annoyed because its been down for about a month now as I have limited time to work on the car lately. I was logging the battery voltage, to see if the alternator was potentially weak and causing issues, but I show in the mid to high 13s (13.5-14v). I don't think this is the issue.
I think the fact that its happening even at idle and revving is telling, but I haven't found anything. Does anyone have any ideas or things I can check that I haven't done already.
