Evo 1 - 3 Intake Manifolds

Hello everyone,

Are all Evo 1 - 3 intake manifolds the same? I have what I believe to be a Evo 2 intake manifold, but everyone says to get Evo 3?
What's different between the 3 designs? I see mine doesn't have an egr, and it is also missing one vacuum nipple.

I've been looking around and haven't been able to find anything yet on it. Maybe someone can point me to write up on them?

Thanks.

I thought the evo 1 and 2 had cyclone intakes in them then evo 3 had the short runner.

The Cyclone was on GVR4s with the 6-bolt, it never made an appearance in the Evo, which were all 7-bolt.
Evo 1-3 intakes are practically the same, with the exception that Evo 3 manifolds had a port for the factory-disabled anti-lag system that you won't use. Everyone advertises their manifolds as being Evo 3, which they probably aren't, but I'd take an Evo 1/2 intake first because it's the best piece and it's ready to go. Alternatively, RVR manifolds of the era look identical but have a smaller throttle body opening (52mm, I believe), but can be bored out to be the same as an Evo manifold (65mm, I believe).
