I just bought a 2009 Lancer a couple days ago and when I went to go buy the car the car seemed fine and didn’t have anything wrong with it.The next day i decided to take it out for a ride and when I did I turned it on and the check engine light was on and it was telling me it was overheating as well and it was shifting hard into gear. it would make a hard sound when it would go into gear. I plugged in my scanner and it gave me 2 codes one being P1590 and the other being U10101. I’ve looked up how to fix this but i can’t find much on it. I saw some post say the fuse or connectors for the ecm and tcm could be damaged but mines weren’t and i saw someone say it was the battery too and the battery on the car seems new and it gives 11 volts. i’m not sure what to do now or how to fix it can someone please help me.

 

So 11 volts is too low. Should be at least 12.4V when not running. replace battery before doing anything, make usre the new battery is fully charged before installing
