Intermittent trigger error

Hey everyone!

So, I’ve got a bit of a mystery on my hands. My Evo 9 is currently using a Link G4X FuryX with boomslang plug and play harness.

Here’s the thing: my engine is brand new! It’s a 2.2L Manley forged internals, running COP with Denso coils, Bosch DBW setup, and 2 step colder plugs.

But here’s the catch: I’m having some intermittent trigger errors when I’m in boost, no matter how low or high it is. When the RPM hits 4000-6000rpm, it will have a trigger error, and the RPM goes to 0 and then bounces back up.

My brother has the exact same setup, and we’re both having this issue right now.

Here’s the weird part: whenever the issue comes on, it gets worse and worse. Even revving it a little bit will cause a trigger error. And guess what? Whenever the trigger error starts, we replace the exhaust cam sensor with a brand new one, and it drives and pulls like a champ for about 2 days, then it starts triggering errors again.

We even tried putting back the old cam sensor where the trigger used to happen. The car would usually pull fine for 2 to 3 days, and then the cycle would repeat.

This trigger only happens after I installed the Link ecu and converted the throttle body to a DBW setup.

I’m hoping someone can help me out with this. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Hi,

please send me the Log and Map. I will have a look.

Trigger wheel and Sensor is stock? Trigger wheel is clean?

In Trigger Options you can adjust an Rpm Filter. Normaly you can leave it at 1. For Testing you can try to turn it up. But watch your Knock Values.

Thanks for your reply. The trigger wheel and crank sensor are brand new and stock. I’m unable to send you a message or attach the file here, so I’ve uploaded the files to Google Drive

Your Battery Voltage is low (Check alternator). Tiggers looking good.
Knockcontrol is off (i would go with, Stock Sensor works perfekt) and i would check your Cranksensor wiring, Mounting.
